Re-thinking the culture of organisations
The
way people behave in your organisation is heavily influenced by what we call
‘culture’, yet few managers understand it.
Is there one culture or several?
How do you (yes, you) influence your own organisation’s
culture(s)?
And why do so many culture change initiatives founder?
Understanding and Changing Organisational Culture
On
Monday 11th March from 4 – 6
p.m. équilibre
held it first open forum at The Barn,
Courtyard
Centre, (off Parklands, Great Linford), Milton Keynes.
What
was in it for those
attending? We think they found out more about how
organisations tick, and
ways of making
changes. It was a chance to discuss, to pool and share your own ideas, as well
as listening to
our thoughts and approaches.
What
was in it for us, at équilibre?
Well, we need to eat. We’ve just set up and want to
develop our
business. Our aim for this session was to find a number of organisations with
whom we might work, so that we
could develop our approaches and our track record. Our approach is so different
from the usual we wanted
those attending
to see, hear and experience it for themselves.

These
first pictures are of Julian Jordon giving the introduction.

John
Killman and Julian Jordon met by accident and have now put their different
talents together to help organisations to introduce lasting change, and to
become places where people enjoy working whilst producing excellent results.
We
combine valid theory with useful, practical techniques, including emotional
intelligence, NLP, Gestalt,
action research and others. In fact, we aim to do ourselves out of business as
we help organisations become
their own consultants; if they want to.
We
have subsequently held Fora on the same subject at Brixworth Park, Northampton
and at ArtWorks
Milton
Keynes

We
look forward to meeting you at what promises to be an interesting and lively
session – for a change.
We
might even consider the question: who’s responsible for the blame culture?
See
you there.
