The équilibre website
Re-thinking the culture of organisations

équilibre is an organisation wholly owned by its staff. As we expand each new member of staff is, after an initial period, offered the chance to become an equal partner in the business.

John Killman and Julian Jordon are highly experienced and qualified managers, consultants and learning facilitators, as can be seen from the, necessarily brief, pen portraits below. They were founder members of META, before establishing équilibre with Ingrid Jennings in 2001.

John Killman has been 17 years in training and development. Originally an engineer, he has spent a lot of that time developing quality management systems. He has run QMS and ISO 9000 courses throughout the world, and continues to do so. He has spent a number of years developing his skills in NLP, becoming a Master Practitioner and working with some of NLP's most innovative developers, particularly in the area of coaching and decision making skills.

John is acting as coach to managers in local government, the church and the electronics industry. He spends part of his time carving wood and enjoying stained glass windows. He is a churchwarden, actively involved in change work with the ministry.

John is a fellow of both the Royal Society of Arts and the Institute of Quality Assurance, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Julian Jordon has been indulging his passion for helping other people to learn since 1970. As a teacher, and then a college head of department, business owner, lecturer, consultant and writer he has introduced innovations in learning and management throughout his working life.

He has designed courses, curricula and learning materials for corporate clients and universities. He is currently producing a book on Helping Professional Colleagues to Learn, one on Images of Learning and, with John, Developing Organisation as if People Mattered: or, how to change your organisation and keep the change.

Also a member of the CIPD, he has a CertEd (qualified teacher), and MSc in human resource development.

Julian lives in France and spends his non-consulting time writing, walking, growing organic vegetables and renovating Citroen 2CV's.

Ingrid Jennings is a linguist and full time mother while also an essential part of the team. Ingrid specialises in organisation, interpersonal skills and systems development using her broad knowledge and skills in IT applications.

Ingrid has a Diploma in foreign languages for business, NEBBS Management Certificate and NLP Practitioner.

Ingrid enjoys swimming and has a passion about continual learning, especially in personal development. Much leisure time is spent in supporting her children in their sporting activities.
